The Fun Run option for the Big Wood Fish Run is held on the Wood River Land Trust’s Greenway Trail. Located in the heart of Hailey, this single track trail provides almost 1.5 miles of river access.
Racers in the Fun Run will stage their fishing gear at the Colorado Gulch Parking lot, and then will drive north back to Lion’s Park and the start line. Racers will start on the Bow Bridge, and run south to Colorado Gulch. They will then pick up their fishing gear, and attempt to catch a fish as they make their way back up to the Bow Bridge.
This race is perfect for folks who want to walk, for kiddos, or for anyone who isn’t quite ready to bite off the full length run. Because this is a fun run, prizes will not be awarded for overall time, but will instead focus on the sizes of fish caught by age group.
